Worth its 4 stars. This hotel was characterful base for exploring Houston, really loved it. There is restaurant Drifters Bistro & Lounge at the premises. The guest room had a comfortable bed.

Waited for shuttle for 45 minutes which followed having to make 3 phone calls for one. UNACCEPTABLE!!!!! Could not get heat on for night---65 degrees when awoke---result giving me very bad throat at this time. Checked in after 8:30 or would have reported.

Shuttle service made it easy to get to from the airport. The fact that the bar/restaurant was open later at night was a bonus. Friendly and courteous staff, even the shuttle bus drivers.

Choice of food and price of food. One plate of pasta + bottle of wine was $57!!! Extortion springs to mind!

Bar and restraint was good
Limited internet most of the time and very slow, no room service one day, noise from remodelling or renervations right near my room was hammering and drilling and impossible to sleep through it, I ended up moveing to a hotel across the road.

Staff were very nice. ad the fact was Pet Friendly. My dog and I were very happy nd confrtable.
Next day the cleaning lady nock my door a few times to clean the room I have to tell her not to come back ntil list 2h 1/2. I just want it to rest. I did not understand the hurry when my time to check out was at 12:00pm . ( I wish they clean the bed better, it seems someone was there before the hand towel n the bathroom was used so the hand soap, and my bed sheets were with bread crumbs in it. so I slept on top of the bed I did not want it to call it was late when I arrived.
